How to Complete Fortnite’s Nindo Challenges

If you’re a fan of the Naruto franchise and Fortnite, you shouldn’t miss out on completing these challenges.

After an initial set of Nindo challenges in November 2021, where Naruto first made his appearance, Fortnite is back yet again with another Naruto collaboration to claim cool (and free) cosmetic rewards you can’t find in the Fortnite Item Shop. You can get these Naruto-themed rewards if you complete specific quests from the Fortnite Nindo challenges. None of the Nindo event challenges are visible on Fortnite’s official website; you must log in to a dedicated ‘The Nindo 2022’ website if you want to progress on the challenges. There are four character-themed paths to complete, from Itachi to Orochimaru. Complete all four will get you unique in-game rewards for your Fortnite account, including a Manda glider. Here’s everything you need to know about the Fortnite Nindo Naruto event challenges, as well as how to get the glider!

The Start of Everything

The first thing you’ll want to do before getting started on the challenges is to head over to Fortnite’s official website to sign in with your Epic or Fortnite account. This step is necessary as Epic Games uses this method to track your in-game points and deliver the rewards to your account. Once you’re signed in with your linked account, you’re all set to start making progress with those Nindo challenges.

What to Expect in the 2022 Nindo Challenges

In the last version of this event, Fortnite heavily featured gliders and emoticons inspired by the anime/manga’s Team 7 – consisting of Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura, and Kakashi. For the 2022 version, you can expect the event to focus on the main character’s rivals and friends. Should you choose to complete the Nindo challenges, you can earn emoticons featuring the likes of Orochimaru, Gaara, Itachi, and Hinata, as well as an Akatsuki-themed wrap and a glider patterned after Manda, the giant snake.

You can also purchase bundled to don the skins of the characters mentioned above – a must for anyone who wants to train their Kage Bunshin no Jutsu (we kid, we kid). But if you want those emoticons, the only way to get them is by doing the latest Nindo challenges. On the other hand, the wrap is already available in the Fortnite Item Shop, and the glider is also scheduled to land there soon. However, you’ll have to work through the missions/challenges if you want those items for free.

How to Complete the Fortnite Nindo Challenges

The Nindo challenges are split across four paths, each linked to a specific character: Itachi, Gaara, Orochimaru, and Hinata. Each path has a single objective, and completing it rewards you with a badge. Note that you’ll have to complete the challenge multiple times if you want to earn lots of badges for each path. To fully complete a path, you’ll need to earn ten badges. Thankfully, you don’t have to do all the heavy lifting alone, as you can complete these challenges in Solos, Duos, Trios, and Squads versions of Fortnite’s Battle Royale and Zero Build mode.

Each path offers a different challenge and is as follows:

  • Path of Orochimaru – Eliminate enemy players. With every 18 eliminations, you’ll get one Orochimaru badge. You can only accomplish this in the Solo, Duo, and Trio Battle Royale game modes. That’s a lot of enemies to take out, so make sure you’re not just hiding in a bush.
  • Path of Gaara – Survive Storm circles. You’ll get one Gaara badge every 24 Storm circles you survive. You’ll progress in this challenge if you play the game typically and survive. You can only accomplish this in the Solo, Duo, and Trio Zero Build game modes.
  • Path of Hinata – Catch fish. Every 20 fish you catch will net you one Hinata badge. This is by far the easiest challenge you can do. Once you find a fishing rod, get reeling. You can only check this path off your list in the Battle Royale, and Solo, Duo, Trio, and Squad Zero Build game modes.
  • Path of Itachi – Finish a match in the top six or higher. With every five top-six finishes, you’ll get one Itachi badge. Since this is the hardest Nindo challenge to complete, expect going into matches to be difficult and time-consuming. You can only do this in Fortnite’s Squad Battle Royal and Squad Zero Build game modes.

Let’s Talk Rewards

The first symbol you earn in each of the four paths will unlock a specific emoticon. You get the Attentive Gaara Emoticon in the Pathway of Gaara, Orochimaru’s Smile Emoticon in the Track of Orochimaru, the Shocked Itachi Emoticon in the Footpath of Itachi.

Meanwhile, every five emblems you earn in your Fortnite account in any of the paths nets you an extra 20,000 XP. This means that if you earn five insignias in each path, you can get 80,000 XP. However, if you want to get the “good stuff” like the Akatsuki Wrap, you’ll need to get ten badges in one of the paths. Of course, we can’t forget about the grand prize – the Manda Glider – which you can get if you collect all 40 badges.
